Support the involvement of young people in climate justice organizing and leadership

Build cross-generational connections within your congregation's climate justice ministry and, as a congregation, support young adult leadership both within the congregation and in your surrounding community. Possible ways include:

• Unitarian Universalist congregations can get connected with UU Young Adults for Climate Justice (UUYACJ), a growing community of environmental activists who are between 18 and 35 years old. As part of Commit2Respond, UUYACJ has launched a campaign to bring 100 climate justice worship services with young adult leadership to congregations. Invite a young adult or collaborate with young people to deliver a sermon on climate justice and/or plan a worship service.
  
  
• Encourage or sponsor a young adult climate justice organizer to attend GROW Climate Justice, the Grounded & Resilient Organizers’ Workshop for young adults organized by the Unitarian Universalist College of Social Justice, August 7-11, 2015 in Chicago. Attendees will develop their skills as community organizers and change-makers at an event grounded in UU theology and community. Congregations can help this training be financially accessible to young adults by contributing to the crowdfunding campaign.
