Eat a Plant Based Diet
Eating vegan saves: 1100 gallons of water, 45 lbs of grain, 30 square feet of forest, 20 lbs of CO2, 1 animal’s life... PER DAY.

Please consider hosting a screening of Cowspiracy (http://www.cowspiracy.com/) in your congregation. Animal agriculture is an animal (both human and nonhuman) and environmental justice issue. Eating a plant based diet greatly reduces one’s carbon footprint and doesn’t take anything away from one’s time and energy to work on other issues at the same time. In fact, it’s the quickest and easiest way to have a profoundly positive impact on the environment.
