Could you help me with developing ties with interfaith groups in the Lansing, MI area? I would like to get a real Earth Day public celebration going in our community. I am traveling to the Rochester, MI Earth Day celebration this week, in hopes of making contacts and finding out how to put this type of celebration on.

I switched to the Green Party (but vote Democratic if I have to), I have only renewable energy stocks and my wife switched to Green Century fossil free for her portfolio, we are in the process of putting 5K of solar pv in the back yard (in by the end of June supposedly ((I’ll believe it when I see it)), we have long owned Prius’s and now own a used Chevy Volt, we have been active at both churches in social justice and specifically environmental justice and building design committees (both churches are in the process of building or renovating but I, Bob, am considered a pariah in my own churches for advocating for renewable energy, car charging stations, cisterns and gray water to flush the toilets to be included in the designs, have attended several national and local demonstrations and informational gatherings, are deeply involved in letsbanfracking.org (which I wish you would endorse), are continuing supporters of 350.org, boldnebraska.org, the New Jim Crow committee (locally), donated to GROW on Faithify, Swathmore Divest campaign and activities, etc.
We’ve been busy, sometimes are wrung-out, but are looking forward to seeing Bryce and Zion National Parks this summer. We love to hike the trails (and the non-trails).
Is there hope? I don’t know. But when my grandkids think back on me, I hope it will be fondly.

PS I’m sorry I made it so hard to read. Thank you for letting me get all of this off my chest.
