We can continue to learn from the wisdom of early cultures, their implicit connections to the earth; to our interdependence with all life, and all life-giving forces.
So our efforts to create renewable (non-nuclear) energy sources is in harmony with this
ever-evolving wisdom. Each day, each of our efforts, small or large, counts!
These efforts, are enhanced by,---and urgency of time requires----our coming together politically, now, and with courage. We must clearly name our problem; the urgency of global warming. and strive to effect exponentially, the reversal of climate warming.
Together, through political actions, we can be---and are---powerful

A life-long liberal progressive, as I'm privileged to be navigating my 80's, my concerns
are ever-more for taking actions that are enhancive of the young, their world they, and their descendants, are Inheriting. We can---and we must continue doing this!

The single most important thing an individual can do to help is go organic vegan which also helps your own health, shows respect for all life and improves the world.

I think that climate change is going to be the main issue that the next generation will have to solve. It will become a religious issue; due the fear it will generate, the impact on poorer communities, the impact on economies, etc.

I have been aware of the need to limit our use of fossil fuels for as long as I can remember. I helped plan and build our house 30 years ago to utilize passive solar heating, and later converted our heat pump to a geothermal water furnace. Now, with the help of a loan from Enerbank, I have a beautiful solar array installed by Solargaines, a company based in Baltimore. I know I am paying slightly more per month than I had been with the electricity generated by Dominion Power which uses dirty coal, but knowing I am doing my part to help save the planet is worth far more to me.

I'm a retired ecologist who's been concerned about climate change for over 30 years. Currently, I'm currently teaching a course on climate change at George Mason University. I'd be glad to help Commit2Respond in anyway I can.
